Wrap a hot towel around my head?
Wow, we had quite the blizzard this weekend. The local weathermen say we got 20.4 inches on Friday and Saturday, but I don't think we got quite that much at our house. But it was definitely enough to keep us indoors all day Saturday, and the whole city was pretty much shut down. Even McDonald's was closed. Nooooooooooooo! But here are a couple pictures we took so you can get an idea of what it was like:
And all this in March. Makes me wonder what Easter's going to be like. The Easter Bunny may have to draft the Easter Polar Bear to help him get the baskets delivered. And that is truly against the natural order.

Your street looks so quaint with all of the snow. It’s hard to believe that underneath lays drug dealers and women of the night!
Don't you like the jalopy sitting in front of our house? At least it has windows, I guess. Many around here don't.
Holy cow, that's a lot of snow...and in March! My husband was just talking about moving to Toledo. I really think I need to talk him out of it. :)
Jamie's from Toledo! Oddly enough, I don't think they got as much snow as we did this weekend, but they get some doozies, too. I tell you what, this was one weekend I missed South Carolina. I bet it was like 70 degrees there. Sigh.
Has lil J been outside to "play" in the snow yet?
I thought about you all last night when I saw the news about all the snow! It wasn't 70 here this weekend, but it wasn't snowing, either! Jocelyn, what is in Toledo? :)
No, the closest he's gotten is looking through the window and blinking like crazy from the glare.
Beth, you mean other than a whole lot of snow? ;-)
University of Toledo Health Science Campus, and a colleague who is going to be chairing a department there beginning this summer. He's trying to woo Larry, but I think he'll have better luck once it stops snowing there. :)
If I wanted someone I know to move here, I'd only let them visit May to October and preferably only in September.
Jocelyn, got it! I have never been to Toledo so I readily admit my next sentence is really ignorant. "Toledo" just sounds like a town that is not very attractive, kind of like "Irmo" in SC. To the Ohio-ans that read Ann's blog, please accept my apologies!
Is it because it ends in "o"? How do you feel about the Alamo?
What can I say about Toledo...if you want good Hungarian, German or Polish food, Toledo is for you. If you need glass of any kind (drink, window, windshield, etc.), Toledo is for you. If you want to root for Michigan, but don't want to commit to living in Michigan, Toledo is for you. If you want to root for Ohio State, but don't want the craziness of Columbus, Toledo is for you. If you like Jamie Farr, Katie Holmes, Danny and Marlo Thomas, Anita Baker, Gloria Steinem, then Toledo is for you. It might not have all the charm of a big city, but it has glass (it's not called the Glass City for nothing!)
Sylvania, Perrysburg, Rossford, Maumee, Ottawa Hills are all very nice suburbs as well.
