Slider, you stink

Lil J has apparently decided he's too old to nap anymore, so the last couple days have basically been either me feeding him or him crying. He actually sleeps pretty well at night, but I keep wondering if he's getting enough sleep every day. This one magazine/ad I got from Enfamil said that babies his age should be getting 15 to 16 hours every day. Pfft. Yeah, right. Those kids are being fed whiskey with their formula.

When Harrison was a newborn he pretty much either napped in his Moby wrap or in the swing. It was rare nap, indeed, that didn't happen in one of those two places. I don't want to be some annoying stranger who barges in from someone else's blog and starts handing out parenting advice, but (I'm going to anyway... ;-)) the Moby wrap was the BEST. THING. EVER. And the swing was a close second. :)

No, please send all the advice you can give me! I always appreciate it, especially when the poor little guy has been crying for over an hour and then I start crying and the whole thing devolves into a truly pathetic situation :)

Logan napped in his swing a lot too. And I have a Baby Bjorn and that helped sometimes too b/c I could just walk around with him and the motion would eventually put him to sleep.

And sometimes it is ok to put him down in his crib and walk away for a few minutes and just let him cry.
He should start to mellow out in a few weeks...

Top Gun?

EH loved the bouncy seat that vibrated, that would calm her down, usually.

If the weather isn't still icy, maybe driving him around would help?

Two things that helped us was putting Ben in his car seat and attaching it to his stroller and pushing him around the house, second thing was the exercise ball. I would sit and bounce with him on that ball and it would put him right out.

It really is okay just to put him down and just chill for a little bit. He'll be okay, and so will you:)

He's now on his second nap for today. Yay! I know it's nice for me to be able to get some socks on, and he seems to be in a much better mood the days he gets some rest. Ahhhh :)

We were big swing fans. Kass would only nap in her swing, and she's 3.5 now and a great sleeper. I'm also a lover of Baby Einstein. The Language Nursery one was a lifesaver early on. I would put Kass in the swing, turn that video on and she was in heaven. Liam liked it too, but not for as long as she did.
